Back to Contest1. Organizer & Promotion Period
1.1. This contest ("Tempus Quest") is organized by Tempus Author Platform (the "Organizer") and runs from May 8, 2025 to August 8, 2025 (the "Promotion Period").
1.2. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win, and making a purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
2. Eligibility
2.1. Entrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
2.2. Open to individuals worldwide, except where prohibited by law. Void where restricted.
3. How to Enter
3.1. Register for a free account at tempus.valleyberg.com.
3.2. Request access to exactly one part of The Age of New Era (Part I, II, or III) in e-book or audiobook format. Choose what you like most - the 3 parts are very different, so be sure to read the genre description.
3.3. Read your selected part (you can use fragments from our guide or find your favorite moment).
3.4. Create your artwork inspired by the book fragment you chose.
3.5. Include a small signature or watermark in one corner of the image.
3.6. Submit your artwork via the Contest Submit Entry Form, tagging the correct category.
3.7. Submit a book review of the book you requested via the Contest Submit Entry Form:
- At least 48 words
- Include the fragment you're illustrating in quotation marks or short description
- Select the chapter number and title where you found your fragment
- Explain why you chose this fragment and how it inspired your artwork
3.8. Engage: "Like" at least 3 other entries to qualify for the grand prize.
3.9. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram for news and live updates (optional but recommended).
3.10. Optional Buy-In: You may get the book for $1 to support the project and unlock your chosen part immediately—but if you prefer, after creating your account you can simply message us via Collaboration Form (find in About part of the site) to receive free access.
3.11. Full Novel Access: All contest participants will receive access to the full novel after or on August 8th, 2023, regardless of whether they win or not.
4. Submission Formats & Guidelines
4.1. Digital Art/Graphics: Submit as PNG or JPG, minimum 2,000 px width, max 10 MB.
4.2. Traditional Painting/Drawing/Sketch: Photograph with even lighting, camera centered, no skew. Upload two images: full view + detail at 300 dpi.
4.3. Sculpture: Provide three views (front, side, detail), each JPEG ≥ 2,000 px. Include physical dimensions in submission form.
4.4. 3D Models: Export a thumbnail preview (PNG) plus attach the model file (OBJ/GLTF). Ensure models display correctly in standard viewers.
4.5. Mixed Media: Follow guidelines for each medium used; label all file types clearly.
4.6. AI-Assisted Artwork: If using AI tools (such as Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion etc.):
- Must explicitly disclose AI tool usage in submission
- Include information about prompts and post-processing
- Comply with AI platform's terms of service regarding commercial use
5. Categories
Entrants select one of these categories:
- Digital Illustration
- Traditional Painting
- Drawing/Sketch
- 3D Model/Render
- Sculpture
- Graphic Design
- Mixed Media
- Ai-assited works
6. Judging & Voting
6.1. Public Voting: Site users may "like" each entry to show their appreciation.
6.2. Jury Scoring: A panel of judges each has 100 points to distribute among up to three finalists.
6.3. Winner Selection: The entry with the highest combined Public + Jury score wins.
6.4. Final Decision: The final decision lies with the Jury led by the Author, whose vote is weighted and shaped by public engagement and jury scoring. In case of a tie or dispute, the Author reserves the right to make the final determination.
7. Prizes
7.1. Grand Prize: USD 100, paid via PayPal.
7.2. Digital Rewards: Site gallery feature, blog spotlight (TEMPUS GRADUS), full e-book & audiobook bundle, and social-media shout-out.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1. Entrants retain copyright. By entering, you grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and promote your work across digital and print media.
8.2. Entries must be original and free of third-party IP claims.
8.3. For AI-assisted submissions, entrants must have proper rights/licenses to use the AI-generated content in this contest.
9. Privacy & Liability
9.1. Personal data collected will be used solely for contest administration and will not be shared except where required by law.
9.2. By participating, you release Facebook, Instagram, and the Organizer from any liability arising from this promotion.
10. Minimum Participation & Cancellation Policy
10.1. If fewer than 100 valid entries are received by the end of the Submission Period, the Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel the contest. In that event:
- A cancellation notice will be posted on the contest page.
- Participants who purchased book access for $1 and submitted artwork may request a refund.
- All participants will retain access to their selected book part regardless of contest outcome.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be governed by Swedish law and settled in Stockholm courts.
